Student MentorsWelcome to Murdoch University and the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Congratulations on your successful University admission and good luck for your future studies. As exciting as University life is, we understand how daunting and often frightening the first year can be. To help ease your transition the School of Nursing and Midwifery have established a student mentoring program to help reduce the stress of your University experience. The student mentors can help with any questions you may have about lectures, assignments, exams, clinical placements and managing this all around your family and work life. The student mentors come from a range of backgrounds, including school leavers, mature age students and international students, so they should be able to ease your way into all apsects of University life. If you are unsure about how things work at university, what services are available and where to find them, unable to navigate the web site, require general advice or just need a new friend, then you can contact one of the School's student mentors who are listed on the School of Nursing and Midwifery Community web site accessed via the MyUnits logon page and available to all currently enrolled students: http://www.murdoch.edu.au/students/myunits/ Remember there are no silly questions that haven't been asked before. Also, the excellent staff and support services at Murdoch University are very approachable and encouraging, please don't be afraid to use them. We wish all new students well in your first year of study and please do not hesitate to take advantage of the student mentoring scheme. Good luck
