Ellen Seymour Ellen Seymour has a Masters in Social Science and an academic background in Psychology. She spent 15 years working in the community sector in the areas of mental health and crisis settings, particularly with homeless youth, womens refuges and rape crisis centres. She joined the Commonwealth Public Service in 1996 and worked in a range of areas including suicide prevention, research, education, Indigenous health and population health. She works across the Division of Health Sciences and is currently contributing to the development of a Strategic Research Plan for the School of Nursing and provides support for the development of grants and funding strategies. Her expertise lies in setting up multidisciplinary and inter sectoral partnerships specifically for translational research. She has a particular interest in Indigenous research.
